‘Nigerians Are More Religious Than Many Countries’ – Chinese Pastor.

Image
A representative of the International Assembly (IA) of the True Jesus Church in Nigeria, Pastor Hong-Hsiung Ko, has described Nigerians as “too religious a people” who also have respect for their religious leaders. Pastor Ko stated this at the weekend, after the dedication of Elimgbu Oro-igwe Obio/Akpor church and workers’ ordination by the IA in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He observed that notwithstanding the plurality of churches and diverse religious beliefs, citizens of the country have so much reverence for God and that manifests in the way they receive and relate with their pastors. The cleric noted the high level of religious worship in the country. He, however, admonished the citizens to translate their religious worship into ways that would transform the country.   “Nigerian people are more religious than many countries. However, you must believe in something. What I mean is that, the way they (Nigerians) receiv...

Image
Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has singled out Liverpool left-back, Andrew Robertson for praise after his side were defeated 3-1 at Ansfield. Liverpool ran out 3-1 winners in the big game. It was goals from Sadio Mane and Xherdan Shaqiri that finished United off at Anfield. However, Mourinho made special mention of Robertson after the game. The Scotland international was superb once again for Liverpool. Robertson is now one of the first names on manager Jurgen Klopp’s team sheet, and Mourinho was suitably impressed by him today as well. The Portuguese was quoted by journalist Melissa Reddy, on Caughtoffside, as saying that he felt tired out after watching Robertson’s energetic display. Companies to try four-day work week to curb stress, burnout

Image
Work four days a week, but get paid for five? It sounds too good to be true, the media reports on Monday. However, companies around the world that have cut their work week have found that it leads to higher productivity, more motivated staff and less burnout. “It is much healthier and we do a better job if we’re not working crazy hours,” said Jan Schulz-Hofen, founder of Berlin-based project management software company Planio. The company introduced a four-day week to the company’s 10-member staff earlier this year. In New Zealand, insurance company Perpetual Guardian reported a fall in stress and a jump in staff engagement after it tested a 32-hour week earlier this year. Even in Japan, the government is encouraging companies to allow Monday mornings off. Meanwhile, other schemes in the workaholic country to persuade employees to take it easy have had little effect. Britain’s Trades Union Congress (TUC) is pushing for the whole country to move to a four-day week by t...

Soldiers Stop Bus, Force The Men With Afro To Shave Their Hair

Image
A lady returning from her village has narrated how soldiers stopped their bus, questioned their driver for playing a certain kind of music, and forced the young men with full hair to cut their hair. Sharing photos of the male passengers being forced to cut each other's hair with razor blade, Ify Nnamani wrote: This here, is so wrong on many levels I'm traveling back from the village and these soldiers stopped our bus. First, this one questioned our driver for playing music that reminds him of his days in the 'depot.' Then he asked these three guys to come down for carrying full hair. Now they are making them barb each other with the blunt razor they forced our driver to provide. I don't know when carrying full hair or playing music in the bus became illegal that these soldiers had to detain us for over 30 minutes. I was so angry on behalf of those guys, especially as some of the older folks in our bus kept saying they deserved to have their hairs cut that ...
